SAA Annual Meeting
ALERT: THE MUSEUM WILL BE CLOSED BETWEEN APRIL 8 AND APRIL 15 DUE TO STAFF ATTENDANCE AT THE SOCIETY FOR AMERICAN ARCHAEOLOGY ANNUAL MEETING. THE SITE WILL BE OPEN THE WEEKEND OF APRIL 13-14 AS USUAL. We apologize for the inconvenience, but we will have some awsome pictures to share here and on FB of our students presenting their research at a national meeting of their peers and colleagues! Yay ENMU! #museum #presentation #closures

Closures for Jan. 9 and 11
We will be closed for part of Wednesday, January 9th and closed on Friday, January 11th. We apologize for the inconvenience… many of our student employees are still trickling back after their breaks (lucky ducks!) #opentothepublic #anthropologydepartment #holidayhours #closures #museum

Important Regarding Hours of Operation!!!
IMPORTANT NOTE: The museum will be closed for most of the week of October 21-27. We simply don't have the staff for that week due to conferences and events around campus. Please call before making your plans! We plan to be open Sunday, Tuesday after 1, Thursday after 1, and Saturday. We are trying to get coverage for the other times. Again, please call before making any plans regarding the museum, and remember that the site is always closed during the week this time of year.

Weather Closure
Hi all, We apologize for the inconvenience but the archaeological site will be closed on Sunday, September 2nd due to the weather. Our trails are washed out and are not safe for visitation. We apologize for the inconvenience! #landmark #site #closures #hours

Fall Hours at the Landmark
It's that time of year, y'all. It's bittersweet: yes, we're shutting down the site soon, and we're dropping down to our fall hours, but Atlatl Day is coming up, too! It's not all tears. Please take care when planning your trip to Blackwater Draw. For the last two weeks of August we will have Friday-Sunday hours ONLY. This will then drop to Saturday-Sunday through the end of October, at which point we will shut down for the winter. Thanks for your support, and we hope to see y

Happy Fourth!
Hi all, Happy Fourth of July! The Landmark (archaeological site) will be open today until 5 pm. You can go to our "About" page for directions. The museum will NOT be open today, as the University is closed for the holiday and the museum is on the ENMU campus. We apologize for the inconvenience, but hope to see you soon!! #opentothepublic #holidayhours #landmark #closures #museum

Student Research and Creativity Conference!
Happy Wednesday! The Blackwater Draw Museum will have intermittent hours today (Wednesday, April 4th) because of ENMU’s Student Research and Creativity Conference. We are primarily staffed by our awesome students, many of whom are presenting their work! Sorry for the inconvenience! #anthropologydepartment #presentation #events #closures #museum #hours

Anthropology Day! (Museum closure)
Happy Anthropology Day! To celebrate, the Anthropology Department here at Eastern has a table in the Campus Union Building (CUB) and we will be showing clips from movies featuring anthropology until 3 pm in the Aztec Room! Because of this, the museum will be closed until around 2 pm today so that both students and staff can help with the booth. We apologize for the inconvenience, but we hope to see you there! #closures #museum #anthropologydepartment #events #hours
